Hi guys!

My sister Sarah has a dog named Gizzy. She’s a blind, diabetic pug and she has thyroid issues as well. She has obviously had her fair share of health issues but Gizzy is a fighter and has gotten through all of them!

This past year, gizzy has been on diabetes and thyroid medications that have really helped her get a lot of her energy back. They’ve been really regulating her diabetes and she’s been stable enough that her doctors recommended that she get a small surgery to remove 5 small masses and get a deep teeth cleaning.

The surgery went well but the next day, gizzy started bleeding from her incisions. She bled a lot and it caused a lot of other issues. Gizzy is currently staying at the emergency vet. We don’t know how much longer she will need to stay there but she is currently about to get a blood transfusion.

The bills are piling up and while my sister has pet insurance which covers 90% of the costs, the bills are getting so high that even the 10% amount is becoming overwhelming. She is also missing a lot of work as well and doesn’t have PTO.

We don’t know what other procedures gizzy will need but there will probably be more. I will keep you guys updated. Any amount will help, truly! Thank you so so much!
