Our kitty Gizmo got into a lily this past Sunday and had to be rushed to the animal hospital as lilies are extremely toxic to cats, the yellow on her face is the pollen from the lily and as cute as she looks with her yellow lipstick this is so scary and dangerous to her. I hate to be asking for money but this was a huge blow to us as we’ve already had unexpected expenses lately and we were not prepared for a $3400 dollar vet bill but my cat and dogs are my kids and I will do anything and everything for them. I set the goal at the price of the vet bill but I am not expecting to make all that back I am just hoping if anyone has a little extra to spare(no amount is too small) it can help us keep our heads above water as we deal with this. On a happy note Gizmo should make a full recovery and I will be able to pick her up tonight(Tuesday the 29th) she will need follow up bloodwork to insure she doesn’t have any lasting kidney damage as that is the concern with lily toxicity. Gizmo is an absolute fighter, my husband found her almost 2 years ago outside by the dumpster at his old job and she climbed up his pant leg asking to be saved, I came and picked her up and she was obviously sick but we didn’t know how sick until we found out she had tapeworms, ringworm, ear and eye infection and a damaged iris.
