Gizmo is our friendly, playful cat who loves attention and brings so much joy to our family every day. On November 23rd, he went missing, and we were heartbroken not knowing where he was or if he was safe. After two long weeks, Gizmo miraculously found his way back home on December 8th, but he returned with a serious injury—a broken femur.

The veterinarians have told us that Gizmo will need his leg amputated. The thought of him going through this is overwhelming, but we are determined to do everything we can to help him recover. The costs for his necessities and aftercare are significant, and we are facing medical bills that are far beyond what we can manage on our own.

We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. Any support you can give will go directly toward Gizmo’s surgeries and the care he needs to heal and return to his happy, loving self. (12/11/) Gizmo update! We were able to bring Gizmo back home from having his big surgery yesterday. Veterinarians told us his surgery went great and that he was just the sweetest kitty the entire time. Yesterday was a full day of rest, eating, drinking, and 24/7 supervision; He is absolutely loving all the attention he is receiving, especially knowing how many people love him online! Gizmo has been doing great today, mostly just sleeping. I will keep updating his story and upload more pictures here soon!

Gizmo update! All is going well, he has been a lot more active lately, able to stand, sit, and walk to the bathroom fine, still a little wobbly but doing great. Right now, he is snuggled up on his brother’s dog bed with a blanket, drank some water and ate earlier, but other than that he’s been doing real great. Today we will try and work on uploading more photos!
