Help giving this chain dog a new start in life

Donation protected
When my best friend's father died suddenly, he left behind Bobic - a 9-month-old, sweet and friendly dog in a tiny village in Romania. I was there to help support the family in these tragic times, but when I enquired about what would happen to the dog, nobody could give me an answer. The family couldn't take the dog themselves. None of them lived in the country anymore. Bobic would have to be taken care of by the neighbour, who would put him on a chain in the courtyard and feed him twice a day for the rest of his life.

This was not the life Bobic had known to this point. Even though keeping dogs on a chain is customary in this region, my friend's father was different. Bobic lived in the big garden, and he experienced love and affection. Losing his beloved human all of a sudden and being tied to a sad 2 square meters of mud broke his heart. I could not let this happen.

I quickly decided to take this dog with me and give him a new life in the Netherlands. Within a few days, I managed to get all his papers in order, purchase all the necessary equipment for the travel, book a flight for him and me, and even find a temporary new home for him with a loving person who is prepared to give this dog all the attention he needs and deserves.

Last week, I successfully travelled to the Netherlands with Bobic, and he started his new life here. He is an incredibly sweet, social, and clever dog and I am sure that he will quickly adapt to his new companion and lifestyle. I remain his "mentor" and accompany his process of settling in, visiting his new home and making sure that he is doing well.

During this whole process, I knew that I had to save this dog from the terrible fate of becoming a chain dog, no matter what it costs. I digged deep into my funds and paid whatever was necessary to get Bobic out of there.

As you can imagine, this wasn't cheap, and I spent more money than I actually have. Of course, Bobic is worth every penny! But if you have a few euros to spare to help me pay for all the bills that have amassed for Bobic's sake so far, that would help me a lot, and it would mean the world to Bobic and me.

Thank you so much for your support!

To be transparent, these were the costs:
80€ veterinary
76€ transport box
350€ flight ticket for Bobic
370€ my own flight ticket
25€ other flight accessories required by airline, e.g. muzzle and specific travel water bowl
58€ notary for his papers
60€ travel costs to visit his new home (so far)
