I've never done anything like this before, but I'm reaching out because I want to give my 5-year-old son, Zion, a Christmas to remember. This year has been especially hard for us. I've faced serious health issues and car problems that have made it difficult to work and provide for my family. Despite these challenges, I'm grateful for what we do have—a roof over our heads and each other. But what little stability we had has fallen through, and now I'm struggling to make ends meet.
The holidays are especially tough because we've lost so many loved ones in the past few years. My mother passed away suddenly from alcohol complications, I lost my brother in a car accident, and my sister to cancer. Zion's grandparents on his mother's side have also passed away. All the people we used to spend Christmas with are gone, and there's no family left to help us through this season. I know gifts and clothes aren't the most important things, but I want to give Zion a Christmas he'll love and remember, especially after all the loss and hardship we've faced.
I feel almost ashamed to ask for help, but I'm doing this for my son. Any support will help me provide him with a joyful Christmas and cover some basic needs during this difficult time. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read our story. I hope everyone out there has a safe and happy Christmas. God bless.
