Tobiko is a one year old Scottish fold British shorthair mix. This sweet boy had unfortunately underwent emergency surgery on Wednesday for a urinary obstruction — a painful, life-threatening condition in cats. Just two days later, while still in recovery, Tobiko became blocked again after pulling his catheter.

Now he must remain in the hospital through the weekend and undergo a second surgery on Monday — to hopefully reduce the chance of him having continuous obstructions and live a normal, healthy life.

The costs are overwhelming:

    •    First surgery & hospital stay: $4,700

    •    Weekend ICU care: $1,200

    •    Second surgery: $2,000

There will also be charges for the hospital stay after the second surgery but that hasn’t been discussed yet.

Tobiko is deeply loved by his mom and so many others. At just one year old, he should have his whole life ahead of him.
