I wasn’t planning on rescuing a cat, it just kind of happened. A few weeks ago, I found a cat wandering the streets, clearly lost, frightened, and in distress. She looked thin and confused, and my heart went out to her immediately. I took her in, hoping I could help her recover and find a safe, loving home.

At first, I thought she was a young cat who just needed some food and TLC, but after bringing her to the vet, I learned that she’s actually a senior with potential underlying health issues. The initial exam alone cost $630, and she’ll likely need more care going forward. While I took her in out of kindness and don’t regret it for a moment, the financial burden has been much heavier than I expected.

She’s not fearful or aggressive, and it’s clear she’s known people before. She deserves a soft bed, full belly, and someone to love her for the rest of her days. I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover the cost of her medical care, so I can continue to support her recovery and eventually find her a permanent, loving home.
