Help give this single mom a second at life

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to and shared this story! Here is the update on her medical condition:
Good news is that she has been moved to a medical unit from ICU. Her eyes are now open, although she is not responding to any particular stimuli. She is moving her limbs on one side of the body. Per doctors, the other side has potential to move after therapy. There is still a major cranial surgery she needs to go through in future when the medical team thinks she is ready. The therapy team will be on site to evaluate her on Wednesday, March 29th when they will be able to decide the next course of action for her. Her younger son has not left her side for even a moment and I’d like to ask you all to continue to pray for her recovery!
Hi, my name is Shilpa and this is my effort to raise fund to help someone’s fight for survival. Her name is Usha Basnet, a single mom of two boys who struggled all her life to provide for her family. Unfortunately, as soon after becoming a teenager, her older son fell for addiction and was consistently in and out of rehabilitation centers, which added to her challenges. Despite of poor economic conditions, every-time life presented another hardship in front of her, she stood back up for the sake of her little family. She was running a small grocery store in Nepal and rented a small space where she lived with her two sons. Her younger son has a very low paying job with a cable company. On Friday March 10th, at around 1:30PM, her younger son received a much dreaded phone call informing him that his mother was found lying in a pool of blood at her rented apartment. She was immediately rushed to a local private hospital where CT scans were immediately done revealing multiple blood clots in her brain requiring multiple surgeries. There were evidence of physical trauma, multiple injuries on head, marks all over her body. Her extended families chipped in to help pay for her surgeries. She was put on a ventilator and monitored. After a few days, on March 13th, she was moved to a trauma center at Bir Hospital hoping she could get quality of the care she needed in a trauma center at a much reasonable cost. The latest update is that she is showing some progress, doctors have noticed some movement in her hands and legs, she has opened her eyes a few times, she was extubated from the ventilator and placed on oxygen.
Her older son who she was taking care of at the time was the one who ruthlessly attacked her with cooking pans. He hit her numerous times all over the body and several times in the head causing her injuries that she will probably never recover fully from.
Everyone who cared for her had lost all hopes, but by the progress she is showing, she is telling us she wants another chance at survival. She has been a fighter all her life and she is not ready to give up, yet again. The reality, however, is that even though it appears that she will make it out of this alive, she has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Her younger son, who is the sole breadwinner of the family now, has not been able to go work for 2 weeks. They have already lost their apartment and the store space and moved out. Please help give this mother and a fighter another chance at life!
Every penny counts.
