Help Give This Brave Puppy a Fighting Chance

Just got my first golden retriever puppy one week and one day ago. She is 10 weeks old and already my absolute baby girl. Here’s where it gets sad. Within almost exactly 48 hours of getting her from the breeder, she became deathly ill. It was terrifying! I rushed her to the emergency vet as she bravely hung on to life. They spent days keeping her stable and running multiple tests trying to figure out what was going on. As I’m sure you realize, this cost me A LOT of money. In the end, we found out it’s a liver shunt, a birth defect, and that without surgery (costing roughly $15,000 more dollars said and done), she has a 3-month life expectancy. However, this comes with around-the-clock care and a slew of medications. With the surgery, if it actually goes well, she has a 6-year life expectancy. As much as I’d love to, I just cannot afford the surgery.
To say I’m sick over this is an understatement.
EDIT: After threatening action, The breeder is offering some assistance but not nearly what we need. I’ve also updated my ask due to their offer and a more realistic estimate between $8,000-$12,000.
