Hello, my name is Felicia Wilds. It is with a broken heart that I share the passing of my sister, Tara Wilds. Tara was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Tara was diagnosed with heart failure, and she had been battling her disease for some time now. Over the past year or so, she had been in and out of Duke Hospital’s Cardiology Step-down Unit as well as Duke Cardiology’s Intensive Care Unit. It was in Duke Cardiology ICU where Tara gained her wings on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Due to her condition, Tara had been unable to work; therefore, we are asking for help with her Homegoing Service.

Tara was one that would show up, even when she was sick! She would offer help and send encouraging words, all while battling her disease. Let’s show up and show out for Tara, like she would do for us! Tara will truly be missed by her family and most importantly, her son Twan and her grandson TyTy (in the absence of her son Twan, who is detained right now).
