Help Give Students the Gift of Reading

It's that time of year again (a bit later than usual) when I reach out for help to buy books for my reading students for Christmas. As you probably know, I teach reading at East High. Many of these students have been in reading classes for a very long time and have given up on reading. Many have never gotten a book as a gift. Each year at this time I try to raise enough money for each of them to get 2 books before they leave for Christmas break. This year I am planning on one each. This year, I have 37 students, and books are averaging about $15.00 each.

If you would like to buy the book(s) yourself, I can send you titles, we just have to have the books in hand by Dec 18th, at the latest.
