Sometimes, life gets to a point where you realize you simply can't keep going the way things are.

Right now, someone I care deeply about is facing that reality. My boyfriend, Red, has fallen down on some very hard times. He is living in a home that has fallen into serious disrepair and has become a difficult and unhealthy place to live. Soon, he will be without a job and doesn't have the financial resources to make the changes he desperately needs on his own.

However, there is hope.

My mother and I are willing to open our home and give him the safe, loving, and positive environment he needs to begin rebuilding his life. Moving to another state would give him an opportunity to leave behind a difficult situation and start fresh with someone who cares about him and wants to see him succeed.

The goal isn't simply to help someone move. It is a rescue mission. It's to help him get out of a situation that has become overwhelming and gives him a chance to breathe, heal, find work, and begin moving forward.

The money raised will help with transportation, moving expenses, food, basic necessities, and the costs of getting settled after the move. Every dollar will help make this fresh start a little more possible.

Asking for help isn't easy, and reaching out to others during a difficult time can feel incredibly humbling. But sometimes we all need someone to help us get through the hardest chapter before we can turn the page.
