Thank you for visiting our page
I’m organising this charity football event because of something that happened to my 13-year-old son, Tom, that I’ll never forget.
During a match, Tom fell to the ground in pain — he had broken his leg.
Sadly, it took over three hours for an ambulance to arrive. During that time, my son was left lying on the cold ground with no privacy or shelter. We did everything we could to keep him warm, dry, and comfortable, but it was heartbreaking.
You never think about these things until they happen to you.
That’s why I’m determined to make sure no other child — or parent — has to go through what we did.
Our Goal
We want to raise enough money to provide emergency first aid shelters for every junior football club in Doncaster and Selby.
These shelters will give injured players privacy, warmth, and protection while waiting for medical help to arrive.
The Event
To raise funds, the Askern Miners coaches and the Selby coaches are coming together for a 90-minute charity football match — the main event of the day.
Before the big match, there will also be an 8-team U9s round robin, featuring 28 mini games of fast-action football.
It’s set to be an amazing day for players, parents, and supporters — full of football, fun, and community spirit.
We hope to make this an annual event, helping clubs replace damaged shelters or even support them with new kits and essential equipment.
How You Can Help
Please consider donating whatever you can — even 50p or £1 makes a difference.
If just 1,000 people donated £5, we’d raise £5,000, enough to fund shelters for local clubs and make sure every young player is protected.
£5 might not buy much these days, but together, we can help make sure every child stays warm, safe, and cared for until emergency services arrive.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support — it truly means the world. ⚽
