Help Give Roosevelt Brown a Dignified Farewell

Donation protected
Hello, I am going to title this "My Daddy, My First Love."

My name is Rosalyn Brown aka Rosalyn Davis and Rosalyn Clifton. The baby girl of the late Roosevelt Brown. The reason for this GoFundMe is to receive donations for his funeral an burial expenses because he did not have life insurance.

My Daddy (Roosevelt) was a good man. He was not perfect, but he was a wonderful hard working singing man. Many people knew him from singing in quartet groups even before I was born and as of tomorrow I will be 45. He really loved to sing. I remember him singing with groups such as “The Original Bells of Joy” and “The Wings of the Clouds,” all of Baltimore, MD. In both of these groups he was a Lead singer or the Lead Singer. People LOVED to hear him sing wherever he went and so did I. My favorite songs were "Someone Who Cares," and “No Coward Soldiers." He also sang on the choir at his church, Mount Jezreel Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA. He loved the Lord and he loved to sing praises to his name. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons he had to retire singing professionally, but it didn’t keep him from singing and praising God in another capacity.

In his early years he worked for SMC Construction company in VA. There he was a foreman. He was a hard working man. He worked there until he was able to retire. He was happy about retirement until his wife went home to be with the Lord. After that, things were okay for a little while.

He continued to sing until he began to lose his hearing. That was a sad moment in his life but that did not stop him. He retired from singing in his quartet group, but continued to sing praises in church, at home, or in his truck. One of the things I miss about Daddiy was going to the Gospel Quartet Programs to hear my Daddy sing. It was a proud moment and I could say that's my Daddy up there singing. I have 5 other siblings and I am sure they all have good memories with Daddy that they could also share too.

My Daddy was a loving father and I knew he loved me to the very end. There is no doubt in my mind his love for me and him knowing how much I loved him. He was a great man. He helped many people throughout his lifetime and now I am asking for your help. Let us help the man who helped and touched so many people's lives throughout his life.

I would like for my Daddy, to leave this world with the Home going Service he deserves. I want people to be able to pay their last respects to this great man. Again, he has touched so many people lives and I am asking you to please donate to this cause, whatever you can to help my siblings and I funeralize and bury my Daddy, Mr. Roosevelt Brown.

I thank you in advance for what you can give and even those who are unable to give. May God Bless you all!
