Help Give Rafael Pena a Dignified Farewell

My name is Ariel Pena, the son of Rafael Pena. I am facing one of the hardest moments of my life. My father Rafael Pena suffered a major heart attack. During the procedure to place stents complications arose. These complications led to him suffering five major strokes and is currently on life support. The doctors have told us the damage is severe and irreversible. With his first heart attack my father sat and gave me the hard talk. If he were to be on life support, organ failure or any accident that left him with no quality of life, he did not want to live that way. Now I sit here, as his son and proxy with the toughest decision of my life. Balancing my own feelings, the wishes of my family and above all honoring my father.

This Tuesday August 19th, I plan to honor his request and remove him from life support. If its his time then I will find peace in knowing it is Gods will.

I have accepted that I am going to lose my father, my only wish now is to give him the burial he deserves. I am asking for help from friends, family and anyone whos life my father touched to help me give him the proper send off. Any contribution will go towards Rafy's funeral and burial expenses.
