Prudence came into my life 15 years ago, and from the moment I met her, I knew she was meant to be with me. I rescued her in Michigan after she was abandoned at a veterinary hospital, and since then, we've been inseparable. Together, we've traveled across the country, hiked countless trails, and shared a bond that words can hardly describe. When we moved from Michigan to Northern California, Prudence was by my side every step of the way. We explored beaches, forests, and mountains, living our best lives together. She was my hiking companion, my confidant, and my family. After our time in California, we made a new home in Chicago, where we've continued to make memories. Now, at 15 years old, Prudence's health has declined. Her mobility and neurological health have worsened, and I know our journey together is nearing its end. I am currently not working, and while I have always done everything I can for her, I am unable to cover the costs of her end-of-life care and cremation. Prudence has given me so much love and joy, and I want to make sure her final moments are peaceful and dignified. The funds raised will help provide at-home euthanasia and cremation, allowing her to pass in comfort and return her ashes to the places we loved most in California.
