Hi, my name is Laura. I am fundraising for my longtime friend Phil.

Phil and I have been friends for over 40 years, and I am now his primary caregiver.

Phil is a well-loved bartender extraordinaire who has served countless people at different establishments on the Monterey peninsula.

Since Phil was diagnosed with liver cancer, he has lived with my daughter Lila and me at my house.

Since his diagnosis, cancer has spread to his neck. He has also suffered several strokes, most recently affecting his left arm and hand use. He also has had a heart attack and is battling congestive heart failure. At this time, his kidneys are failing, and he receives dialysis daily in the hospital. He has been hospitalized since August for all of these different issues.

Since August, he has received no income. He is greatly distressed over not knowing how he will pay his bills.

Bills amount to approximately $3400/month.

Phil and I are fortunate to have such a wonderful group of loving people. We are incredibly grateful for any assistance you can provide.
