Help Give Our Rescue Dog a Happy, Healthy Life He Deserves

Hi, my name is Sara, and I'm fundraising for my beautiful 4-year-old rescue Boxer Denzel, who has already overcome so much in his short life.

When we first brought him home, he was severely underweight, confined to a tiny cage, and had developed heartbreaking behaviors like eating his own waste just to survive. He could barely walk—his back legs were so weak he’d often collapse. But with love, care, and patience, we helped him build strength, gain weight, and finally enjoy being a dog. He became a happy, playful, and loving companion.

Sadly, his joy was recently shaken. Just days ago, he lost his best friend and brother, Ronnie, who passed suddenly at almost 10 years old due to underlying heart issues. Ronnie’s loss has been devastating—for both of us.

Only a few days after losing his brother, during a routine walk, my boy began limping severely. We rushed him to the vet, and after exams and X-rays, we were told he’s suffered partial cruciate ligament tears in his hind legs. The vets have recommended surgery to prevent further damage and future complications like severe arthritis, permanent mobility loss, or full ligament rupture in both legs.

Without treatment, he may never run freely again on the beach he loves. He’s still so young and has fought so hard to live a better life. I can’t bear to see him suffer now when there’s something that can be done.

Sadly, we’ve maxed out his insurance—most of it went toward Ronnie’s recent emergency vet care—and we simply can’t afford the cost of surgery on our own.
