It's in this time of tremendous sorrow we're reaching out for any an all help to give one hell of a woman the BEST send-off possible. Most of you will know me for those who don't I'm Jessie Etta's middle daughter her main caregiver in the end. Mom is home with us on hospice care. Etta Hinckley is my momma the woman who gave me life the strength to be sitting here writing this tonight as she lays downstairs in peace for her last moments. Over the generations we only become stronger and smarter thanks to her! Our momma was way more than a mother to not only the baby's she birthed but any child blessed to be in her presence she was a gramma, nana, sister, auntie, cousin, daughter, friend, the Panera Hat Lady just an all around spectacular soul anyone who has been blessed to know her KNOWS exactly that "My name is Etta once ya met her ya never forget her NOBODY is better than Etta" as she always said an its true. She has fought a long battle of severe asthma, COPD, then lung cancer for over 3½ years in remission TWICE. Now the cancer is back with a vengeance she has at least 2 incurable diseases. I've seen this woman get knocked down too many times more than I want to admit. Every time she got up a lil stronger a lil wiser an I've also seen her help many people being on the bottom herself. That's where we get it from our momma!!! This is our time to do for her. As many people know we lost my baby Leana 04/06/16 in a tragic car accident we have been raising Leana's daughter Nevaeh ever since together Nana (my mom) an I are her co-guardians as well as my baby Krista (Nana's Shining Star) who is in her 2nd year at UMass Boston. I have been out of work since covid then as mom got sicker I became her main caregiver. We were just working on the PCA so I'd have an income but could still take care of her well our luck a day late an a dollar short! I have depleted any savings I do know one of our aunts has some life insurance not sure exactly how much an I want to make sure mom gets the best of the best she deserves that much. It was $700 to RENT a casket almost 7 years ago I can only imagine now. Everyone deserves to see momma and say there final see ya later to HER not an urn and that's what she wants I'm doing my best to honor her wishes. We would also luv a memorial spot for her and Leana if possible. I'm a single mother/grandmother supporting a whole family off the bare minimum my sisters as well. As sad as it makes me we don't have money to give our momma the most beautiful soul the best one last see ya later so I'm reaching out for help to do just that not only does she deserve that our family needs it after everything we have been through. The time of year alone is already so hard in many ways with Xmas and my baby Leana's bday would have been the 30th. We understand this is a tough time for a lot of families so ANYTHING will help! It truly saddens me to even be writing this but momma ALWAYS went above and beyond for us an anyone who needed her really it's only right we try to do the same for her. Any money received will be for mom's services, a memorial spot for her & Leana; if after those things are accomplished there are any remaining funds they will be used to support Nevaeh & Krista as mom/nana was my other half in raising them.
