Help Give Our Dad a Second Chance at Life
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tia, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Wayne Westhaver Jr. (Sonny).
For the past few years, my dad has been on oxygen, struggling every day just to breathe. His quality of life has been incredibly limited, and he's missed out on so many important moments.
Almost two years ago, he was hospitalized, and we almost lost him. It was one of the scariest times of our lives. Thankfully, he pulled through—and since then, he's taken every possible step to fight for his life. After countless tests and appointments, we recently got the amazing news: he’s been approved for a double lung transplant.
This is a life-changing opportunity and the first real hope we’ve had in a long time. But it comes with many challenges. He’ll need to leave home for an unknown amount of time, away from his family—including his five daughters—while he undergoes surgery and recovery.
Anyone who knows my dad knows he’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He’s never been one to ask for anything—but this time, he needs help.
We’re raising funds to help with the expenses that come with transplant surgery: travel, relocating to be near the hospital, lost income, and post-surgery care. Every donation, no matter the size helps ease the financial burden.
Thank you so much for your support, love, and prayers.
With love,
Tia and Family
