Help give our boy the chance to find his voice

Hi! As most of you know, our son Aeson was diagnosed with autism at 22 months. Our journey has been both beautiful and difficult. Aeson has blossomed in so many ways and become an affectionate, curious, loving little guy. But he hasn’t found his voice. Aeson is nonverbal and hasn’t yet found a meaningful way to communicate. This is of course very frustrating for him and makes it very difficult for us to meet his needs because we don’t know what they are. We’re currently working with all of the available and recommended therapies including ABA, speech, OT, and an AAC device- but so far nothing has clicked. We recently toured a facility offering hyperbaric oxygen therapy and learned of the incredibly promising results that this therapy has had for autistic individuals- especially surrounding speech and communication. We are committed to doing everything in our power to give our baby the absolute best shot, so we will be exploring this therapy. Unfortunately insurance does not cover this treatment and we are unable to afford the cost out of pocket.
