Help Us Give Our 16-Year-Old Brother a Chance to Move Forward
We are asking for help during an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time for our family. Our 16-year-old brother is facing a serious legal situation, and we are doing everything we can to make sure he has the support and legal representation he needs.
He is a good kid with a kind heart who made a mistake and, unfortunately, found himself surrounded by the wrong group of friends. Like many teenagers, he wanted to feel independent and earn some money of his own. We had always encouraged him to focus on school and reminded him that he did not need to worry about money at his age. However, he wanted to work and become more independent.
We recently learned that he had been DoorDashing using a friend's vehicle. He did not know that the vehicle was stolen. What started as a teenager trying to make some money has now turned into a situation that could have a significant impact on his future.
Our family is standing beside him and doing everything we can to help him through this. At only 16 years old, he is scared, overwhelmed, and trying to understand a situation far beyond what a teenager should have to face.
We are especially concerned about making sure he has experienced legal representation. Unfortunately, the cost of a good attorney and the other expenses associated with his case are more than our family can comfortably afford. We want to give him the best possible opportunity to have his case handled fairly and to protect his future.
We are asking for help from our family, friends, community, and anyone who may be willing to contribute. No donation is too small. Every dollar will go toward his legal fees and necessary expenses related to his case.
If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to us.
We know that one mistake should not define a young person's entire life. Our hope is to help our brother learn from this experience, get through this difficult chapter, and have the opportunity to continue his education and build a better future.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who takes the time to read our story, donate, share, or simply keep our family in your thoughts. Your kindness and support mean more to us than we can put into words.
