Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be writing something like this, not in a million years but here we are.

My sweet baby boy Onyx has been facing some serious medical challenges this year, and it's been one of the hardest things I've ever gone through. Onyx isn’t just a pet, he’s my heart, my best friend, my whole world.

Earlier this year, Onyx was diagnosed with a liver mass, which turned out to be hepatocellular carcinoma. We were able to surgically remove it, and he recovered beautifully. For a while, it felt like we were past the worst of it.

But just a few weeks ago, I found another mass. After more testing and a full CT scan, I got the devastating news: his cancer has metastasized.

Despite everything, Onyx is still his sweet, funny, loving self. He’s eating well, wagging his tail, and giving kisses like always. He recently started radiation therapy to shrink the tumor near his chest/axilla and help keep him comfortable.

We are now in palliative care, doing everything possible to give him a good quality of life for as long as we can.

The financial burden has become overwhelming. Just one radiation treatment alone was over $3,000. That’s not including his earlier surgery, multiple diagnostic tests, medications, and ongoing care.

If you know me, you know I’m not someone who asks for help lightly. But I’ve reached a point where I know it's worth a shot to ask for help.

Update:

Onyx recovered well from his splenectomy! Unfortunately he has grown another mass and it seems to be growing at a rapid rate. I am doing everything I can to make sure he’s comfortable & not in any pain. I thank you all for the help & support & I will continue to make sure Onyx receives all the love & care that he deserves!

Final update: Unfortunately Onyx is no longer with us. He fought for as long as he could & he was such a brave boy thank you all for the love & support
