My name is Rachel and I’ve been rescuing, adopting and fostering dogs for over 20 years. This little Nugget wandered into my neighbor’s yard yesterday and she is in horrible shape. She’s been neglected for some time. In addition to eye disease causing her tremendous pain and lack of vision, of course fleas, worms and mange, she has an inguinal hernia and needs immediate surgery. My husband and I are covering most of it but need as much help as we can to get this girl fixed up. I’ve never seen such a bad case of neglect. We just want to get her healed and find her a happy, forever home with the love she so deserves. Anything helps. Thank you so much.

UPDATE: She is out of surgery and the surgeon said she did well. On our way to pick her up. She will have a long recovery, and then we will address her eye issues- and then her skin issues. Vet said it looked like she may have been hit by a car (fractured hips which started to heal wrong) which may also be what caused the hernia. It was the size of a tennis ball. Once she recovers from the surgery, we will take her to Fetch Specialty Clinic in Brandon for her eyes. Then Care Animal Hospital in Brandon for her skin. Thank you to all who have donated.
