Help Give My Mother The Services She Deserves

Hello, my name is Maya Negron and I am creating this Go-Fund Me account on my mother, Danielle’s behalf. Any funds donated would be used to cover all funeral expenses for my mother, so she can have a beautiful service worthy of who she was as a person. She deserves more than one day of funeral services and that is my goal here. Any proceeds that are left over from this fundraiser would go towards taking care of my eleven year old brother, Michael, who is on the Autism Spectrum and has ADHD. These costs would include, school books / needs, clothes, and any necessities he may require. My mother is a beautiful mother of two, including myself and my eleven year old brother Michael, whom she loved with all her heart. As her children, we were her pride and joy. I refer to her as “is” because she is currently still alive, however in an end of life situation. Unfortunately just this Monday, we were informed that she had been found seizing, and had detrimental bleeding on her brain. Although the Maimonides staff where she was hospitalized, were able to successfully remove a lot of the bleeding on her brain, the damage was already done. They are now conducting tests to determine if her brain functions at all, which is a very slim - none chance. As a 21 year old, I am now obligated with eventually being the sole caretaker of my eleven year old brother, Michael. As a full-time college student, this will be very very hard. We do not have a very large family, and as many know, funeral costs can be very expensive. My mother is and was a beautiful person inside and out. Despite her financial situation, she herself would have done anything to help anyone, and was a very giving and generous person. Not just generous with money, but generous with her wise advice, wisdom, and time that she offered many. She was strong, kind, caring and easy to talk to, as many of my friends remember and attest to. When they couldn’t talk to their own parent, my mother was always there. She was a loving person and friend. Many people never get the chance to experience the relationship I had with my mother with their own, and I truly feel bad for them. She was not judge mental, she was understanding, and patient with those around her. She spent the last few years struggling with the passing of her own mother, and now unfortunately won’t get the chance to watch us grow old and be a grandmother herself. My goal is for my mother to feel appreciated and loved by those around her, as I believe she at times felt the opposite. Although the picture I chose for this fundraiser isn’t a recent one, I chose it because it was taken at a time where she was truly and genuinely happy in her life. My biggest regret, is that she didn’t get to enjoy all the fruits of life and sweet things life has to offer, she didn’t get to see the world. I hope in being honored eventually in this way, that her spirit will be at peace. I am not of a typical faith, and I believe she is currently caught between our worlds, stuck in a void, I want to honor her in a way that her spirit can transcend to a better and brighter place. This is a very sad, and horrible situation, especially for Michael and I, as we only at this point have each other. Any donations graciously given would be so greatly appreciated by myself and my family. We don’t know as of now when she may be passing, as again they are still conducting tests to determine if her brain is functioning at all, which all signs point to it not functioning. If her brain is not functioning at all, the hospital will have to pronounce her dead, as the only way she is breathing / living now is reliant on machines and that is no life for anyone to live. Again, anything you can donate would be used towards all funeral expenses, and if any funds were left over, those would aid in the care of my brother who suffers from ASD. She deserves this in the least. Thank you for reading, stay safe, and please give your loved ones an extra hug today for my mother.
