My mom was the kind of person who always put others before herself. She had the biggest heart and never hesitated to step in when someone needed her. My mom was the most carefree, genuine-hearted person you could ever meet. She always helped anyone who needed it without thinking twice. When three of her grandchildren needed a safe and loving home, she didn’t hesitate — she stepped up and raised them as her own. Because of her, those kids grew up surrounded by love, stability, and someone who always showed up for them. Family meant everything to her.

Recently, our lives changed in the most heartbreaking way. My mom suffered a severe stroke caused by two blood clots — one in her neck and one in her brain. Doctors were able to perform surgery to remove the clots, and for a moment we were holding onto hope that she would recover. Tragically, complications followed when she began bleeding from her incision. Despite the doctors doing everything they could, her organs began to fail and we lost her. Losing her has left a hole in our family that can never be filled.

I am now caring for six children — my three children and the three grandchildren my mom lovingly raised. She devoted her life to making sure they were safe, loved, and cared for, and I will continue doing everything I can to carry on the love she gave them. We are hoping to cover the cost of her cremation and memorial service so we can give her the goodbye she truly deserves. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to our family.
