Please help give my dear father, Jose, a beautiful goodbye.

Hello world,
(Update: R.I.P. 5/28/2025)
I’d love to give my father, Jose Morales, a proper funeral for all that he has done for our family.
He was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell prostate cancer and given about a year to live. He’s 88 years old, and we were told treatment might make things worse, so our family opted for quality of life instead. It’s now been over a year, and he’s in the final stages. He’s receiving water through a sponge and is using an oxygen tank.
Like many people, he’s had a tough life from day one. His father choked to death at the dinner table while eating, his 28-year-old son drowned in 1993, and his wife died of cancer in 2008. Instead of enjoying his sunset years, he’s been miserable and sad the last few months. I would love for his goodbye to be beautiful.
Some interesting things about my father:
He never listened to music. He never asked for music to be turned on or off, never asked what song was playing, and never had an opinion on music. He literally never touched his car stereo or our home stereo. Nothing. Nada. Ever.
He worked nonstop. Vacation? Never. If his boss asked him to come in on his day off, he would say yes. Overtime? Always. Call in sick? I never saw that. On his days off, he would clean the front or backyard. He would even go across the street and clean the sidewalks. He just loved being active.
Anyway, there’s so much more to my wonderful dad, but I hope people see how kind and hard working he was. Thank you for reading, and if you can’t donate, no worries. Take care!
