Hi my name is Ricky, My dad, Tony Baker, was the heart and soul of our family. He wasn’t just a dad — he was a carer, a protector, a friend, and the constant presence in all our lives. He leaves behind four sons, two daughters, and his beloved grandchildren. Two of us lived with him and relied on him every day because of our disabilities, another brother has a young family, and me. He gave everything to his children, and we were his whole world. The bond we shared with him was unbreakable — it was always Dad and his boys, together through everything, and he loved his daughters and grandchildren just as fiercely.
Dad also had a passion that lit up his face — he lived for his boys, his dog, and his love for Arsenal Football Club. Whether it was match days, celebrating goals, or sharing that lifelong fandom with his family, Arsenal brought him joy and community.
His death came so suddenly and unexpectedly, and it has left a hole in our lives that words can’t describe. We were never ready to say goodbye, and the shock of losing him so quickly has been devastating. Alongside our grief, we are now faced with funeral costs and debts in my name, and we have nothing to cover them. We’re not in a position to pay for any of it ourselves.
We want to give my dad a respectful, dignified farewell, the kind of farewell he would have given to anyone else without hesitation. We also want to support his children and grandchildren as they face life without their dad and grandfather, and their only daily carer.
I know this is a lot to ask, but if you can donate anything, no matter how small, or even just share this page, it would mean the world to us. Every single bit of support will go directly toward giving my dad the send-off he deserves and helping his family in the weeks ahead.
Please help us honour my dad, Tony Baker, and the incredible life he gave to his family.
