Hello, my name is Holly, and alongside my family, we are creating this fundraiser to help my Mom and I travel to Toronto so she can receive a life-saving liver transplant.

Our family has been facing the overwhelming reality of liver disease, and we are now at the stage where a transplant is her best chance at survival and recovery. While we are incredibly grateful that this opportunity exists, the financial burden that comes with it is something we cannot manage alone.

Toronto is the only place in Canada that offers this procedure. However, traveling from Manitoba to Toronto for assessments, testing, surgery, recovery, accommodations, food, transportation, and time away from work adds up very quickly.

Throughout this journey, my Mom has been surrounded by an incredible support system. My siblings, their families, and our loved ones have all stepped in to help care for her, attend appointments, support our parents, and help carry the emotional weight of this experience.

As her primary transplant support person, I am required to travel with my Mom and remain by her side through assessments, testing, surgery, and recovery so she does not have to face the overwhelm this stage in the journey alone.

Anyone who knows my Mom knows how caring, loving, and selfless she is. She has spent her entire life supporting others. She cared for her parents, her late brother during his journey with cancer, raised us kids and embraced all of her grand babies with an open heart and loving presence. She's always done her best to be a strong pillar to hold our family close. Even while battling this disease, she still only wants to spread love and laughter. Now we are asking for help supporting her and giving her the gift of life.

Every donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward:

• Flights and travel expenses

• Temporary accommodations in Toronto

• Food and transportation

• Medical-related expenses not fully covered

• Supporting us during recovery and follow-up appointments

• Allowing more family to be present along the way

• Any additional amount raised will be gifted to my parents to help with expenses after her procedure
