Hi all, my name is Elle, and a couple of years ago the world’s cutest Chihuahua, Millie, fell into my lap. Since then, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being her mama.

Not long after she came into my care, Millie was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Because she arrived uninsured, she’s managed to rack up some impressive vet bills and medication bills over time - with every penny spent so worth it <3 Her treatment and medication have enabled her to live a fulfilled, happy life.

Despite her diagnosis, Millie has been the happiest little soul - anyone who’s met her will tell you the same. She's changed the views of chihuahua doubters with everyone she meets. The vets are constantly amazed by her strength and spirit; she just keeps on ticking, spreading joy everywhere she goes.

Sadly, this disease is a cruel one and continues to progress. Millie has excess fluid around her heart and lungs, which means her medications aren’t being properly absorbed. Our vet has recommended an overnight stay with a catheter to help drain her fluid and relieve some of the pressure and give her meds a chance to work. It isn’t a cure, but it could help her feel more comfortable and give her some more time.

The cost for this treatment is estimated at £400-£500, and on top of her regular cardiologist visits and medication, I'm finding it hard to cover this bill.

I know Millie has many admirers out there - near and far - so I thought, what have we got to lose trying out a go fund me.

Times are so tough but if you are able to help, any donation and share means so much. I will cherish my time with Millie for my whole life as she really is special and I just want to be able to make her feel as comfortable and loved for however long she has left.
