If you knew my aunt, you would say that she was the crazy, no-kids, fun aunt that all her nephews adored. She always had something funny to say and was the kind of person you would pick to have a great time.
To my sister and I, she was a mother, a best friend, a sidekick, and someone who ALWAYS defended us against any injustice without ever asking for anything back. I find myself asking what are we going to do without her? I feel lost, I feel angry, and I also feel guilty for asking her to keep fighting when she had given it all she could. She fought hard for over 3 years but her body would not allow her any more. She held on for so long for us and when we reluctantly let go, so did she. But I still selfishly ask, what am I going to do without her? Where do I go from here? Why was she taken so soon from us? This is the type of person she was. She will be missed every single second of every day.
We ask for your help, reader, so that we can give her a proper service and cremation, as she deserves to be sent off surrounded by all of her family and friends.
