Hi, my name is Melissa, Kevin was my uncle. And together as a family we are trying to raise funds to give Kevin the funeral he deserves.
Kevin was a very loved man, not just by his family but by everyone that knew him.
He truly had a heart of gold.
Sadly on the 9th of December Kevin was involved in an incident in Taunton which lead to his death. I can’t go too far into details due to this being an ongoing investigation.
A few people that we are truly greatful for saved him from the river he fell into, and managed to do CPR - which gave Kevin a chance to try and fight to come back. And he did exactly that… he fought for his life but sadly the damage was done and lost his life on the 22/12/25 - after 13 long days on the Critical Care Ward at Musgrove. The team gave him every fighting chance possible and treated him and our family with the utmost respect during this awful time of Kev being on life support. Despite multiple reports of Kevin being stable - he did not wake during those 13 days and we as a family had to watch him leave us at the end. But he was surrounded by all of his family in his last coming days - day, night and right until his last breath.
Kevin is a man who had little money but who gave his last £1 to help anyone he knew in need. We have had multiple messages as a family telling us what kind acts Kevin did for them during his time with us all. And now we sadly have to ask for some acts of kindness back.
If anyone could help, we as a family would be truly greatful.
The funds raised would go towards Kevin’s funeral and send off.
Anything remaining will be donated to Musgrove’s Critical Care Ward for the amazing care they gave Kevin during his last few days.
Kevin was a Son, his father is broken, along with his siblings, his own sons, his nieces, nephews and all other family members. The fact Kevin was taken from us makes this so much worse.
We as a family hate to have to ask for help during this devastating time.
