"Katie Props" With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved Katie Props passed away unexpectedly on Halloween.
Katie hadn’t been feeling well over the past week, thinking it was just a cold coming on. She spoke with Randy just hours before her passing; he was working out of town to support their family during these difficult financial times. They shared a final “I love you” before Randy said he’d call her back after dinner. When he tried to reach her later, there was no response, which he thought meant she had gone to bed early.
The next morning, Randy texted Katie, as he did every morning, with his usual “I love you.” When she didn’t reply to calls or texts throughout the morning , he grew worried. Randy called Katie's mom to check on her and reached out to Katie's work, where he learned she hadn’t shown up and Randy became very concerned . Randy then called Katie’s mother to do a wellness check. After that phone call Randy made a call to her work and she was a no call no-show which again is not like Katie. This also became a concern. They called for a wellness check also. Katie's mom, along with the police, found that Katie had passed in Randy’s chair, never making it to bed. Randy received the devastating call that his beloved Katie was gone. The drive home was the LONGEST four hours of his life, knowing he would never get to say goodbye to his beloved wife again.
Katie was a light in every room she entered—a warm, generous, and fiercely loving friend to all who knew her. She had a kindness that went beyond words, the kind of heart that would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought. Katie’s laughter was infectious, filling the spaces around her with joy and ease, and her spirit was vibrant, living fully in every moment and bringing life wherever she went. Her loyalty to her friends and family was unwavering, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel cherished and valued. Katie was a gift to this world, a rare soul who gave selflessly and loved unconditionally. Her beautiful spirit will continue to inspire all of us who were lucky enough to have known her.
With Randy and Katie both working hard to make ends meet, finances have been tight now this responsbility is on Randy.
Katie is now at peace, reunited with her father, Billy Sr., in heaven. However, her family is left to navigate this profound loss and the expenses that come with it.
She was peacefully sitting in Randy's chair at home and did not wake up. Katie was a devoted wife to Randy, a loving mother to Kieren, Kody and John along with being granddaughter, niece, sister to Billy, and a cherished grandma. Her sudden loss has left a void in all of our lives that words can’t capture.
We want to give Katie the funeral she deserves and help support Randy in this incredibly difficult time financially and emotionally. Randy will need time off to mourn his loss of his beloved.
