Katherine George was a long time member of our local recovery community. She had been disabled for many years by a number of serious chronic illnesses, but still managed to participate in a 12 step program of recovery. Two months ago she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and on 9/13/24 she died at Cooley Dickinson Hospital after a failed emergency surgery.

Katherine had no funeral arrangements made, and neither she nor her family — two grown children — have the means to pay for her cremation. We are hopeful and confident that our community will step forward in this hour of desperate need to help give a dignified ending to Katherine’s time on this earth. Thank you!
