Help Give Jocelyn a Safe Place to Play

My dear friends are fighting every day to give their daughter the safest and happiest life possible. Jocelyn is 8 years old, full of imagination, joy, and curiosity. She also lives with Level 2 Autism, developmental delays, and challenges that make daily life more complicated. Jocelyn is a “flight risk”—she sometimes wanders or runs off unexpectedly, which can be extremely dangerous, especially since her family lives near busy roads in downtown Wadsworth.

Because of her balance and coordination delays, Jocelyn needs extra support to stay safe outdoors. She has not developed a sense of danger or boundaries, and without a secure space, simple joys like playing in the yard come with risks. For Jocelyn, a fenced yard is much more than a home improvement—it’s a lifeline. It would provide her with defined, safe boundaries where she can play, learn, and grow without constant fear of elopement. It would open the door for her to practice motor skills, engage in structured play, and enjoy the outdoors like other children her age.

The cost to install a secure fence is $15,000, and right now, her family needs our community to come together to help make this possible. Every single dollar gets them closer to giving Jocelyn the security, independence, and freedom she deserves.
