Hi everyone, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times of my life. My golden retriever, Jinjoo, was recently diagnosed with B-cell and T-cell lymphoma. She’s only 8 years old, and thankfully, we caught it earlier than most pet owners. Her vet says chemotherapy could do wonders for her. But the reality is, treatment costs $990 a month, and as much as I want to give her the best chance at life, I simply can’t afford it on my own. I have to go to the vet every week so that is a total of 4 treatments a month. Without chemo, she would just be left to die within a few weeks, and I already see her health declining every day.

Jinjoo has been my angel through everything. My life hasn’t been easy. After my parents divorced, my mom lost our family restaurant, Rossmoor Diner, due to COVID and a horrible landlord that forced her to leave. I worked three jobs during community college to help pay for our mortgage. Now, as I prepare for medical school, I’m already under immense financial and emotional stress. Studying for exams, handling applications, and seeing Jinjoo in pain has left me feeling completely overwhelmed.

Despite everything, I’m using my savings to start Jinjoo’s treatment because I refuse to let her suffer. But I know I can’t do this alone. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help keep Jinjoo happy and healthy for as long as possible.

UPDATE 4/10/25: Jinjoo has started her second week of chemo and she's already feeling so much better. Her swelling has gone down and she's starting to get her appetite back.
