Help give Jerry the Farewell He Deserves

Greetings to all during this challenging time!

I am Brandon Gonzales, Jerry Ylovchan's unofficial son-in-law. I appreciate you all taking the time to read this and understanding what Jerry, Francis, and their family are going through.

Jerry is suffering from a rare form of stage four bile duct/liver cancer and is in his final days.

As we approach this difficult time we are asking for assistance in providing Jerry and family the means to give him the final services he deserves.

Jerry has so many friends and it is hard to find a soul in Delaware County that doesn't know him by name or hasn't been cheered up by his spirit. Jerry is a life long Muncie resident and spent much of his time working at Pepsi, TS Tech, and Ferrell Gas before retiring in 2023. Jerry continued working part time until the recent and sudden cancer diagnosis in May of this year. In his spare time Jerry enjoyed spending time at Red Dog Saloon, Gene's lounge, and the Paradise Bar; performing karaoke and throwing back a few with his buddies.

Jerry has spent his life taking care of his family. He enjoyed watching his grandkids and great grandkids grow up. He personally made sure he was the one to teach them all how to drive. He had to be the one to take them to take their driver's test and pay for it. He has opened his home to many family members over the years that was in need and made sure they was able to get back on their feet. Jerry has always been concerned about his health and went to the doctor on regular basis. In March of this year Jerry started feeling off he instantly went to the doctor. He's was then told to play the waiting game to get test approved by insurance we played the waiting game to get him into the specialist. Jerry did not get his diagnosis til May by the time he was officially diagnosed he lost 30 lbs in 30 days and his health had already declined rapidly. In May we was told by the oncologist that he had 4 to 6 months left and that time started when he got sick in March. Jerry had already lost 2 months of the little time he had left. Jerry was devastated his only wish was to be around to continue to watch his grand babies and great grand babies to grow. He was able to see one of his granddaughter graduation and made it to see other granddaughter turn 1. He so badly wanted to see much more of all of their lives. .

We are not asking for the world, but any help given will be greatly appreciated and will be going directly to the cost of his final expenses. Thank you so much!

If you wish to visit Jerry soon, please do! Contact myself, Eva, or his wife Francis for location or updates.
