My name is Lee Hutchinson, and I am raising funds on behalf of Jeff and his family.

Almost three years ago, Jeff's life changed when he suffered a heart attack while at work and had to undergo a double bypass operation.

As a hardworking father of eight, Jeff had always done his best to provide for his family. But following his heart attack, his health and ability to keep his business running were severely affected.

What followed was a series of financial struggles that no family should have to face.

Jeff and his wife have eight children, including young children aged just 14, 7, 2 and 1.

Like any parents, all they want is to give their children a safe home, food on the table and the security every child deserves.

But since Jeff's heart attack, keeping up with even the most basic necessities has become an overwhelming challenge.

As his business struggled, the family's financial situation deteriorated.

Eventually, they lost their home.

With nowhere else to go, Jeff and his family were forced to stay in a hotel while trying to find a way forward.

But their difficulties didn't end there.

At one point, this family was living on a job site, relying on nothing more than a generator for electricity.

They had a newborn baby and two other young children with them at the time.

Imagine trying to care for a newborn, keep your children warm and safe, prepare meals and maintain some sense of normal family life without the security of a proper home.

All while trying to recover from major heart surgery and rebuild a struggling business.

And even now, the challenges keep coming.

The family's car is breaking down, putting even more pressure on an already desperate financial situation. Having reliable transport is especially important when you're trying to care for eight children, get to appointments and manage everyday family life.

When I met Jeff and his family, he had just $100 to his name.

One hundred dollars to try to meet the needs of a family of ten.

That moment really stayed with me.

Here was a father who had worked hard to provide for his family, who had survived a heart attack and major surgery, and who was still doing everything possible to keep going.

Yet despite all his efforts, he was struggling to afford even the most basic necessities.

No parent should have to worry about where their children will sleep or whether they'll have enough food to eat.

Yet this has become Jeff's family's reality.

For almost three years, they have been doing everything they can to get back on their feet.

But the financial impact of Jeff's heart attack has been devastating, and the family continues to struggle with housing, food, transport and everyday bills.

That's why we're asking for your help.
