I am putting together this fundraiser to help with the funeral and headstone expense of my 7-year-old grandson, Jamir Gibbs, who lost his battle against leukemia on Labor Day after 5 months in the hospital this year alone. Jamir fought hard and was such a warrior fighting against so many infections as well as two leukemias, and in the end, his little body was too tired to keep fighting. He was surrounded by his family on all sides as he took his final breath on this earth. Jamir showed strength that I've not seen from grown men in my lifetime. Jamir was such a fun-loving, silly prankster who loved to dance, spend time with family, and play with his race cars. Amanda, his mom, has been off work and at his side for the past 2+ months of his fight while he was hospitalized, not coming home once. We are hoping to raise funds to give Jamir a warrior's funeral because that's what he was, as well as purchase a headstone and allow Amanda to be off work while she grieves the loss of her son without worrying about all the bills...
