It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Emanuel Defense on August 2, 2024.

Despite our efforts, we have been unable to reach Gregory’s family, and we are running out of time before his body is transferred to Potter's Field due to the absence of next of kin. We do not want this to happen.

Greg was preceded in death by his loving mother, Inez Huff and father, William Defense. He had no spouse, children, siblings, or will, and no life insurance.

Anyone who knew Greg knows he was friendly, funny, caring, and loving. He was also my daughter’s Godfather, and we want to ensure he is laid to rest with the dignity he deserves.

We are reaching out to those who knew and loved him to help cover the costs of his final arrangements. We have less than a week to make this happen before he is placed in a Potter's Field.
