My name is Maria Gamez, a friend of Liz and Mireya, and I am creating this GoFundMe to provide some financial relief to them during this incredibly challenging time. Liz and Mireya have shown immense strength and dedication as they witnessed and supported their beloved mother, Evangelina Garcia, through her battle with cancer.

Evangelina began her fight against breast cancer in 2012. After her first round of treatment, she was in remission until 2020, when doctors discovered that the cancer had metastasized to her lungs and brain. Despite undergoing numerous treatments and procedures, her prognosis eventually showed that further treatment would not benefit her well-being. On May 25, 2024, Evangelina passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Liz and Mireya's love, patience, and unwavering support for their mother during this time have been nothing short of extraordinary. They stood by her side from day one, facing every challenge with remarkable resilience and determination.
