Hello, my name is Jessica, one of Donna’s many cousins…

Our beloved Donna has been bravely fighting cancer for nine long years. Since her diagnosis in 2017, she has faced every challenge with strength, grace, and a determination that has inspired everyone around her. As a mother of three children, she has never stopped fighting for more time with them, more birthdays, more milestones, more memories.

Sadly, the treatment options available through the NHS are not as effective with Donna’s specific mutation. Recently, Donna underwent further tests which confirmed she was eligible for an alternative treatment, a new wonder drug, Capivasertib, that could potentially extend her life expectancy by up to 4.5 years. Precious years that would mean the world to her children and everyone who loves her.

But there is a heartbreaking barrier.

Because the NHS will not fund this treatment, the option has now been withdrawn unless it can be privately financed. The cost is £6,334 per month, far more than any family could carry alone.

Why we’re asking for help:

This treatment offers hope — hope for more time, more moments and more of those precious memories.

We are raising funds to give Donna access to the treatment she desperately needs.

If we can reach this goal, we may be granting her the gift of years — years her children deserve to share with their mum.

How the funds will be used:

*Primarily to fund 3 months supply of treatment (£6,334 per month), giving Donna the chance to extend her life expectancy, in hope the nhs may then begin to fund this treatment

*Any remaining funds will be used to ease the financial burden for Andrew, her loving husband allowing him to focus on being a husband without the constant weight of worry. These funds will also help support their children’s future, ensuring they have the stability, care, and security they deserve.
