Help give Dexter a voice

Donation protected
This handsome little fella is Dexter and he’s six. He loves his Mommy and Daddy, cars and TV. There are millions of fascinating and loveable things about Dex, the least interesting thing about him but currently the most impactful is that Dexter has autism.
If Dexter could talk to you, he’d tell you that his clothes feel strange so he doesn’t wear them even when it’s so very cold. He would tell you that some changes, even small ones make him feel really big feelings. Dexter might also tell you that the only way he feels safe from this sometimes scary world is to curl up next to Mommy and Daddy for sleep time.
He would tell you that his skin itches from severe eczema but the itching and the pain is better than the feeling of the treatment cream on his body. He might tell you that sometimes his asthma is so bad that Mommy and Daddy need to take him to hospital but that’s just too many lights and noises and people for Dexter, so Mommy and Daddy have to manage his asthma attacks at home.

What Mommy (Natalie) and Daddy (Aiden) will tell you is of the unrelenting fight they have on their hands, to get their beloved Dexter any help he needs. They will tell you of long waiting lists and canceled specialist appointments. They’ll tell you of Natalie having to leave her job to make sure she’s there to try to help Dexter make sense of this world.
One way of helping him to do so, would be enabling him to communicate. At six years old, Dexter is nonverbal.
I am here to ask for a donation, however big or small, so that we can purchase a communication aid for Dexter which has the potential to help Natalie and Aiden unlock one of the doors to Dexters world.

Donations will be used to buy a device which uses symbols to enable Dex to communication. This device will literally give Dexter a voice.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you in advance for any donation you’re able to make.
