Help Give Dad Comfort in his Battle with Dementia

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with love and hope to ask for your support. My dad has been bravely living with Alzheimer’s dementia, and more recently, vascular dementia has begun to take an even greater toll. It’s heartbreaking to watch as this cruel disease slowly takes away his ability to walk, move freely, and enjoy the simple things we all take for granted.

We are trying to raise funds to purchase an electric tilt and recline wheelchair for Dad. This specialized wheelchair isn’t just about mobility — it’s about giving Dad the comfort, dignity, and independence he deserves in this stage of his life. The tilt and recline functions will help relieve pressure, support his posture, prevent pain, and allow him to rest safely throughout the day. It will mean he can still be included in family outings, spend time outdoors, and participate in activities that bring him joy — all without the exhaustion and discomfort he is now facing.

Dad has always been a strong, kind, and generous soul — a man who showed up for everyone in his life. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
