Help Give Ms. Chrissy a Homegoing
Donation protected
It is with the heaviest heart that I come to you in time of need for my dearest friend Tisha, whose mom passed away yesterday afternoon after succumbing to cancer. The passing of a loved one, especially one so integral to your life, is never easy. What makes an already agonizing situation worse is that Tisha and her family are faced with the reality that her mom wasn’t given a fighting chance.
Following a full check-up with diagnostic imaging in October that showed no signs of cancer, Chrissy’s family learned just weeks ago that she had obvious cancerous lesions throughout her body visible on the October scans, but the doctors made no mention of them. A couple weeks ago, Chrissy aspirated while waiting for medical transport and no hospital staff even took notice. After being found unresponsive, she eventually awoke, but the cancer was too far advanced after having been missed in October. Sadly, it was too late to try any treatment as her body would not have survived even a bone marrow biopsy.
Tisha and her 3 daughters spent the last two weeks waiting for the passing of their beloved mom and Ganny (pronounced Johnny) and now, in their overwhelming sadness, are faced with the task of laying her to rest. Please take a moment to consider donating whatever nominal amount you can. Chrissy was robbed of a chance to fight her cancer and she now deserves a modest funeral and opportunity to for her life to be celebrated.
