Help Give Chris Sanders a Dignified Farewell

Chris Sanders was only 17 years old when he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole—a punishment far greater than the crime deserved. Though the system took so much of his life, changes in the law finally gave him a second chance, and after 27 years, he was able to come home. The time we had with him after that was far too short, but the impact he made will last forever.

Chris was a genuine, kind-hearted person and a true friend to many. He loved to fish—day or night—and found peace in the simple things in life. He was the type of man who would give you his last if you needed it, without hesitation. No matter the situation, he was always there to help. Chris deserved so much more than what life gave him, but he never let that take away from the good in his heart. He will always be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the love he showed to everyone around him.

Sadly, Chris passed away on February 19th. His family was supposed to have taken care of his expenses but sadly he was left abandoned at the parish morgue. We need to raise funds to cover the cost of his cremation so he can have a dignified farewell and not remain abandoned. Please help honor Chris’s memory and give him the respectful goodbye he deserves. This is for his cremation and thats it. When we make it to the $1000 goal it will be ended. Your support is deeply appreciated.
