Help give children in rural Bali access to education!

Donation protected
Hi Everyone

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Vincent Gambuti, a Primary School teacher in Rural NSW.

The story…About 10 years ago I volunteered renovating a small rural school in Bali. These kids smile every time they have the opportunity to attend school. You see, the school has limited seats and desks to accommodate everyone wanting to attend school. They have the space, however some classrooms remain empty and unfurnished.

In collaboration with my fellow Bali do-gooders, we have set up this go fund me to purchase much needed school supplies, office furniture and electronics. 100% of all donations will go directly to the school.

Every $ helps.

Being so far away from the major cities of Bali, this school could also really do with a small used mini van to transport students to excursions and to be used in case of emergencies. However, I thought I’d start small and set up this go-fund-me in the hope we can get some priority school equipment so more children can attend the local school.

Education is critical for children in these rural areas of Bali. They are basically left behind. I can’t believe that children are turned away because the school doesn’t have enough desks or chairs?! The teachers are paid approximately A$100 per month!? So you see, even a few gold coins would make a hugh difference to this school.

Let’s give these children access to education and HOPE for a better future.

PS: Keep an eye out for new pictures, videos and Balinese teacher interviews that will be uploaded as soon as I have them. If anyone has any questions about this campaign please feel free to make contact with me anytime.

Yours faithfully and god bless.

From the Principal …

Om Swastyastu! Good afternoon everyone! My name is Luh Gede Parwati, and I am the Principal of TK Pancasari. On my right is Ni Wayan Eka Widyastuti, the teacher for Group A, and on my left is Wayan Yuliastini, the teacher for Group B. Here, we have a total of three teachers — one principal and two class teachers. We have three classrooms, but one of them cannot be used due to a shortage of tables and chairs. We are currently in need of a whiteboard, children’s tables and chairs, and a teacher’s desk. A few educational toys would also be very useful and greatly help us in our teaching activities. Our school was established through the initiative of the local villagers, with the purpose of providing affordable and quality education for the children in our village. I have been here since the very beginning of the kindergarten’s establishment. The land we use belongs to the village; we rent it and pay a yearly fee (retribution), which comes from the students’ contributions. The teachers here truly dedicate themselves to their work, even though they only receive a salary of A$100 per month. The school was founded in 2017, and since then, we have continued to serve with genuine dedication and commitment to the children.
