Led by three current BPS high school coaches volunteering several hours per week, we have been able to form four club teams made up exclusively of BPS students between the ages of 12-17 after nearly one hundred girls showed up to tryouts. This past week, all four teams participated and competed at a high level in the annual Boston Festival Tournament at the Boston Convention Center.

Historically, despite extremely high interest levels, access to club and travel volleyball has been reserved for suburban youth capable of paying upwards of $2,000-$3,000 in advance in order to fund things such as gym time, uniforms/gear, travel expenses, qualified coaches, tournament registration fees, etc. As a result, athletes in the city of Boston have found it nearly impossible to develop their talents in order to compete at the sport's highest levels despite an abundance of talent and interest.
