I'm Margaret. I am raising funds for funeral expenses for my brother-in-law, Bill Hastings.
As you may have seen on the news recently, Bill was involved in a tragic accident while fixing his car carrier. We can only surmise what happened in the instant the truck landed on him. He was a careful, mindful person who would have never put his life at risk and knew of the dangers of working on trucks—he had been working on this type of equipment for over 40 years. We are certain he took all safety precautions; somehow, something just went wrong.....
Bill was an extremely hard-working man and was responsible for most of the day-to-day tasks associated with his car carrier business. Like most hard-working individuals, there has been a struggle to make ends meet with all the rising costs of living and, for them, the rising costs associated with their business as well.
His untimely death has left his wife, Jackie, in an unsettling situation—there was not an insurance policy to cover his funeral costs. As you can imagine, she would like to give him the funeral he deserves, and we are asking for your help to make that happen.
Bill was an amazing person. He could make anyone laugh with his quick wit and snappy comebacks. If you were lucky enough to know him either professionally or personally, you know what I mean. For those of us that were lucky enough to call him family, we are heartbroken. He was a great person to talk to and always the first person to lend a hand and he would do anything for anybody. He absolutely LOVED spending time with his kids, grandkids, and in recent years, he enjoyed his time with his niece and nephew—spending as much time as possible with them.
Any donation, big or small, would be deeply appreciated.
