Update: we have an estimate from Langford.
£5000 for full work up with Mri etc.
Hi,
So of you know my story, some dont.
Atlas was born on 12/02/22.
His mum died 2 hours after he was born.
Him and his littermates defied the odds and survived.
2 weeks ago Atlas was diagnosed in stage 2 kidney disease, 6 weeks before his 3rd birthday.
At this point, no one knows why and the vets are confused over a few things.
Atlas had a very low cortisol result initially but the acth stim test came back normal.
His ultrasound showed smaller than normal adrenal glands and a calcification on his left kidney.
At this point our only hope is to get him to the specialists at Langford University hospital. To try and find out what is causing the renal faliure.
We have £1200 left on Atlas'
insurance. After that the bills will mount up fast.
I know some of you helped to keep these babies in the world before. And I'm begging you to help again, to give Atlas one last shot at life.
He worked so hard on his behavioural management, to be a good boy. And now he's facing never seeing the age of 4.
All funds will be paid to Langford hospital for his investigations and treatment.
It may be futile, but he needs the chance to find out if it's something that can be turned around
Atlas is my world, and I do not think I can exist without him in it.
To say I'm broken is an understatement. I cannot eat or sleep from the worry.
